A Place Full of History
In the heart of Warsaw’s Old Town, right next to the Royal Castle, since 2008 you can find POLKA Restaurant by Magda Gessler. The restaurant is located in the historic Kościelski Tenement House, also known as the Mansjonaria, formerly called the “House by the Canal,” at 2 Świętojańska Street — a place filled with the history and atmosphere of old Warsaw.
The interiors of POLKA Restaurant charm guests with a unique blend of history, elegance, and warmth. Each of the seven richly decorated dining rooms has its own individual character — the walls are adorned with floral paintings, the windows are dressed with heavy decorative drapes, and the classic wooden furniture creates a harmonious and refined atmosphere.
An additional highlight of the restaurant is its sunny central patio, which serves both as a dining area and as an elegant orangery.

Undisputed culinary authority figure, appreciated by the industry and millions of Poles over the years. Thanks to her passion and commitment she managed to save almost 150 restaurants across the country, and the number is growing constantly.
With her fiery temperament and storm of blond curls she fights for taste, quality and style in Polish restaurants. She is a traveller, author of books and essays and a unique television personality.
The winner of the Wiktor award in the category "Greatest Television Discovery", Telekamera 2012 award in the category "TV Personality" and Top Ten in 2013 award in the category "Always on Top".
Since 2012 she is a member of the jury in the Polish edition of Master Chef. She is also the host of the Polish edition of Kitchen Nightmares since 2010.
